Chemical peels are a great way to slough away old cells and reveal a fresh, healthy glow. They can be tailored to different intensity levels that require different amounts of downtime and produce more or less a dramatic result.

Lunchtime Peel Vancouver

At La Derma we offer Level 1 and Level 2 ‘Lunchtime’ chemical peels by Dr. Zein Obagi (ZO). These peels are meticulously regimented skin treatments that address a variety of skin conditions using a customized ingredients that produce beautiful results with no downtime.

We also recommend establishing an at-home skin care regimen using skin care products recommended to each individual’s skin’s needs to maintain the results of your chemical peels. In some cases, clients may benefit better from other skin care treatments such as intense pulsed light (IPL), laser skin re-surfacing(Fractional) or radio frequency(RF) treatments. We will evaluate your skin and create a plan tailored just for you.

Our Lunchtime Peels

For the best results, a series of treatments appropriate for your skin type will be recommended as well as the necessary products you will require to maintain your results at home. The ZO Skin Health peels from Dr. Zein Obagi are proven to:

  • Smooth fine lines and wrinkles
  • Stimulate collagen growth
  • Slough away dead skin cells
  • Hydrate your skin
  • Lighten pigmentation
  • Treat blemishes, including adult acne

Level 1 – ZO Skin Health Peel

After a gentle cleanse and mechanical exfoliation, we apply a gentle papaya and pineapple enzyme peel in a strength calibrated for your skin type and the conditions we want to target. This Level 1 peel accelerates the skin’s process of sloughing off dead skin cells, which takes increasingly longer as we age. That’s why older skin is rougher and duller. The peel is gentle enough so you won’t have any redness or irritation and can resume your normal daily activities immediately after the treatment.

Level 2 – ZO Skin Health Peel

This advanced treatment combines the Level 1 peel with 2 additional steps. The first extra step is application of a “stimulator peel” that is left on the skin for a couple of minutes, exfoliating deeper layers of the skin. This is followed by a nourishing mask tailored to your skin’s needs for approx. 15-20 minutes.

You will notice dead skin cells sloughing off about 3 days after your treatment, revealing soft, supple, and glowing skin. Home skin care products can help manage the appearance and duration of your peeling skin. We offer a magnesium crystal polish that will prepare your skin for an even application of makeup.
