When the field of aesthetic medicine was newly-emerging, Helen quickly realized that this area was a perfect mix for her skills, interests and abilities. She combined her nursing credentials with her years of aesthetics experience, and worked alongside one of the foremost pioneers in the industry, Dr. Alastair Carruthers, for 10 years.

During that time she performed various laser, light, radio frequency and other energy-based treatments, consulted with patients on appropriate aesthetic treatments and/or surgical options, administered therapeutic Botox, and assisted in surgeries such as tumescent liposuction, S-lift, ear lobe repair, hair transplantation and others. She has also participated in several clinical trials in both independent and blind evaluator roles.

She brings her invaluable experience, enthusiasm and professional skills to the La Derma team.

Through his work as an Independent Medical Examiner, Spiro recognized that in order for his patients to heal both physically and psychologically, a holistic approach involving various Health Professionals often needs to be coordinated. This understanding led him to joining the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine (CAAM) and later assuming the responsibility of Medical Director at La Derma.

Spiro brings with him a wealth of knowledge, education and expertise to the La Derma team!

With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UBC and post graduate training in Cognitive Therapy from the Beck Institute in Philadelphia PA under the direction of Dr. Judith Beck, Margo was curious to learn more about the impact this treatment had on the whole beauty or being of clients who experienced improved skin health and corrective outcomes.

She learned that how we look greatly impacts how we feel, and if we are confident in our look, it can complement the inner beauty that shines through.

Margo loves that Medical Aesthetics gets results and when a client understands the tools available to them i.e. professional grade skin care, laser therapy and cosmetic injectables, her clients are empowered to create incredible change for themselves.

Margo brings safe, standardized, professional, artistic and up to date service to all La Derma clients. She wants all who visit La Derma to feel welcomed and cared for and ensures your needs will be met with the utmost attention to detail.

In her spare time, Margo can be found with her family, friends and pets and is committed to her spiritual practice, meditation and walking.
