MesoBoost™ Microneedling

Shortly after the arrival of the Dermapen3™, La Derma upgraded this treatment with the addition a rich vitamin and mineral complex, suspended in a matrix of super high concentration hyaluronic acid (with attracts and holds 1000 times its own weight in water) which gives deep nutrition and a fresher, brighter, firmer skin all round.

MesoBoost Microneedling Vancouver

Traditionally, vitamin- mineral complexes used to have to be administered by a registered nurse or doctor using multiple tiny injections around the face with a syringe. In a Meso-Boost treatment (performed by an aesthetician), the complex is added to the usual hyaluronic acid gliding medium, and DermaPenned into the skin. Dermapen3™ delivers a controlled injury to the dermis using a rapidly operating cartridge of 12 stainless steel needles, so thousands more micro- channels are made in the skin, which gives this nutritious complex the chance to be much more fully and evenly distributed.

Dermapen™ MesoBoost Vancouver Frequently Asked Questions

Who can benefit from MesoBoost™ treatments?

All skin colours, ages, and concerns can benefit from Dermapen treatments, but Mesoboost is especially beneficial for those looking to restore brightness, tightness and health to the skin. It is safe and effective and can even be used by pregnant women and on people who have pins, plates and pacemakers in their bodies. MesoBoost is well-tested and effective.

In some cases it is a better option than fractional laser for darker skins. When you book a consultation with us we can help you decide what treatment is best for your needs.

How many MesoBoos™t treatments do I need?

The number of sessions depends on what type of skin concern is being treated. After an initial assessment, we will be able to recommend how many sessions will provide the best outcome for each individual’s skin needs.

Is the MesoBoost™ treatment safe?

Yes. MesoBoost is a sterile procedure that uses 12 tiny surgical grade steel needles to briefly puncture the epidermis, penetrating the dermis and promoting pin point bleeding of the skin. It is a controlled injury that works by safely engaging the body’s own healing response to repair and improve the quality of the skin. The cartridges of surgical needles are disposable or a one-time use per client.

Is the MesoBoost™ treatment painful?

Depending on the type of skin concern being targeted and the settings used on the Dermapen3™ , there can be mild to medium discomfort during the treatment. However, a topical anaesthetic is applied to the skin beforehand to help reduce any feelings of discomfort.

What should I expect after the MesoBoost™ treatment?

In most cases, the skin may look mildly swollen and pink for 1 to 2 days after the treatment; however, with more aggressive treatments, there occasionally may be some slight bruising. We provide specific aftercare advice to each individual in order to maintain the positive effects of the treatment and to avoid any irritation. A soothing regenerating serum or mask as well as sunscreen will be applied immediately afterwards to minimize the redness.
